Born in Swindon Wiltshire. Mark always wanted to play the Electric Guitar after listening to Europa, a track from Santana Moonflower album which his dad would play frequently on the home stereo. It would be many years later and only when he left school aged 16 not knowing what to do next that he would decide to act on his thoughts of playing a guitar. He purchased his first Electric guitar in the autumn of 2001. One week later he started having lessons with local guitar teacher Mike Strange, where he has achieved Grade 8 Practical on the Electric Guitar & Grade 8 on Classical Guitar.

First Gig

Marks first gig was organized by Swindon Rock School and took place at the Wyvern theatre. He was joined on stage by his brother Tony. He had only been playing for about 10 months so when their singer decided not to sing with them just one week before the gig he thought the night would go shockingly bad. However to his great relief it couldn’t have worked out better. They Played 3 or 4 instrumental songs which went down really well.
